I have this unsettling feeling that the previous owner of my 98 civic ex reprogrammed my car's computer(ecu?) using one of those ecu programmers. Let's say he reprogrammed it, then after a while decided to sell the car, and just removed/disconnected the programmer or chip. Would the car's computer automatically reset to the default factory settings after an ecu programmer or chip has been removed/disconnected? Would i have to manually reset the computer/ecu to make it go back to the default factory settings?
