Hey guys!
I searched the forum and could not find anything close to the problem I am having. I have a manual 98 Honda Civic DX Hatch. The car is stock other than new headers and exhaust. I do not have a cat converter any more, so my O2 sensors are not hooked up. Here is my problem:
I drove my car this morning, started up no problem at all. I drove about 5 minutes, less than a mile. I turned off the car, was inside a store about 15 minutes and my civic wouldn't start. I had power (headlights, dashlights, and wipers worked). It would not crank at all. My buddy came and tried to jump me- no luck. Still not even cranking. I replaced my battery. No change. Took my starter to the auto store, test came back bad. Replaced the starter. Still not cranking. Took my alternator to the store, came back working perfectly for 3 tests. When I try to start, I hear relays in the engine compartment fuse box tick (I'm guess that means they are working?). It was getting late, so I pushed started the car- turned over PERFECT the first try. I drove home- radio on, a/c working great, and the car wasn't bogging with low RPMs. I get home, turn off the car & try to turn it back on. Nothing.
I have been doing minor research. I "think" it is the clutch interchange (?), the main switch, or possibly the ICM. Can you civic gurus please help? Thanks ahead of the time guys!
