car not starting...

I have a 96 ex and the head locked up so I replaced with another. (I was talked into by pros to put a stage two cam In a car with stock valve springs and retainers) anyways I put another head on now it won't start. Turns over and hits but no start. You think its the security system kicking in. I smelled gas tho under the hood and the was weird to me.

did you check for spark and fuel pressure?

If you had the head off, there is lots of wires you could have forgot to put back on. My initial thought though when I hear stuff like this, timing wasn't set correctly. Verify that, spark, and fuel before you go searching for anything else. Well... Of course make sure everything is plugged in correctly too.

Everything is plugged and the cam and crank is out now due to jumping out. I have spark. I put a 94 on and had the same problem figuring it was obd1 where an obd2 shoulda been turns over fast
