car starts running rich.....

my car starts running rich after i get on it. it idles at like 1200 rpm and i have to give it gas to get going. it backfires every once and a while and yea. but after i turn off my car and turn it back on again, its fine. any ideas?

check your o2 sensor. it could be going bad but not all the way bad yet.

got a cel for a o2 sensor. think thats the problem?

Running rich, + o2 cell = hmmmm....? um...? aaggghhhh!!!! Tthis is a tough one.

but its wierd cause it only does it if i really smash on it. if i drive normal, its fine
