Some guy on Honda-Acura.net is trying to get a group buy on carbon fibre doors from Seibon if any one is interested? He said if there are like 5 peopl involved the price wpuld be around 1300.00 for the set. If there were 10 people they would cost 1000.00 per set. This seems like a good price since I have seen them go for like 1600.00 for a door on" takakaira" a JDM web site.

just so everyone understands, it's only the interior door panels... not the WHOLE DOOR.

are you sure anf? last time i checked the panels were only a couple hundred, yet the entire doors were 1200+ per door. and the price he has is high enough to be the entire door. and if memory is correct, seibon does do c/f doors

thats what i thought too...i was lookin at some complete c.f. doors, and for the SI they were like 1500, som im guessin he is talking about the whole door, cause 1g for a c.f. door panel is rediculous

That's taking the CF thing a little too far if you ask me... at least for a street car.

yea, it's not like any of our cars are going to be fast enough to need to worry about reducing that much weight

i think that is ridiculous to get whole doors they should only make cf hoods

I think that if you go all out on cf you can save a good amount of weight off the car. hood + front fenders+ doors + front & back bumpers = lots of weight saved. IMO

Well no s**t you would lose weight... but at that point your car might as well be a race only car. Then you'd be way better off getting a fiber glass body on a tube frame.

I like CF but it gets kind of overdone sometimes

Wrong. Ive seen it, CF gets downright ugly sometimes. Oh, and try getting in an accident with CF doors. Mmm, fiberglass tastes good!
