I recently purchased a greddy evolution exhaust system and it won't be in till next week. But I was wondering if anybody had any noticeable gains when they installed there exhaust. Like noticeable when you push down the pedal not like noise level... If so please give any information... also i am deciding on wether i should install this myself or have somebody do it for $50 bucks. Does anybody know if its easy to install?

install is pretty easy UNLESS you come across the prob that i had with my n1 and the flanges didn't line up right.. thus resulting in cutting and welding and repositioning and junk.. x.x i paid over $100 to have mine installed.. but my friend's evo2 fit perfectly and was charged $75..
the only hard part is getting the pipe that's connected to the cat to unscrew... it's on there tight^^

you should notice a small gain.. nothing big, though (if any)

nice exhaust system choice...i myself got one and love it!!! a monkey can install the system that's how easy it is. in N/A trim this exhaust really helped out the top end of my car, i guess you could say it made better use of our VTEC system. just to prove it when i raced my friends 87 integra and he got a head start then the whole time it'll be even with him ahead of me, but after the EVO i definitely noticed that i pulled much harder up top... its sounds beautiful too!

What's better in terms of ground clearance, gains, and sound? The Evo or Evo 2?

Evo and Evo 2 are the exact same specs... just that the Evo 2 is full stainless steel as opposed to the mild/heat coated steel that was used for the Evo. GReddy's site says the stainless steel exhausts are better at resisting corrosion and stuff.

Install Questions

This is for those of you that have already installed the Evo2 system....I was wondering if i would need any additional parts to install the catback system (gaskets, bolts, etc.) My muffler is flapping in the breeze and my car sounds like sh*t but the Evo2 is sitting in my office and i can't wait for this weekend to roll by so I can install it and possibly the head unit (if it comes in time). Keep me updated and Ill post pics when i get them! =)

always get new gasket, not a good idea to re use old ones, re-using old gasket can cause a exhaust leak and a lose of power.
