my cd player stopped working on me for some reason, it still gets power to it since i can stick in and remove a CD but the face isnt lighting up or anything so no radio or cd plays..u guys have any idea whats wrong with it?

when did it start doing this? did you make any mods to anything before this occured..is it a stock or aftermarket deck?

detatchable face? posibly on wrong..bent the lil pins that touch eachother..?
it started to do this when i took off the ghetto rigged fog lights from the previous owner of the car installed, from what i remember, he grounded it in the engine bay and ran the power a switch that ran from the fuse box...but the thing i dont get is why would u ghetto rig the cd player directly into the fuse box. there were other wires that ran into the fuse box to but i just unattached those since i didnt know where they were from but the fogs i completely took off.terceltyler said:when did it start doing this? did you make any mods to anything before this occured..is it a stock or aftermarket deck?

could be some of those pins not meshing togeter, the CD player could be igged to teh fuse box...my dads truck waslike that and then he gave me the head unit with a bunch of inline fuses...dd you install the cd player yourself? if not pop i ou and take a look behind there and see whats goin on...f ther are some fuses or its not connectd to teh factor harness get a harness adapter from walmart or something and do it right it makes everything easier
