center console question

i just recieved my new center console (w/o armrest) what modifications do i have to make to make it fit correctly? i know other ppl have done this successfully, oc_civic for example. thanx

btw, i have a 99 ex, and the console is from a 99 cx.

you have to remove the mounting bracket UNDER the back of the console.. the dx/cx mounting bracket is dif than the EX/LX you can get the CX bracket.. but i just have mine sitting in there and screwed in the front.. if yuo want it perfect you need the bracket.. ill do that ONE day maybe..

does it fit ok without it? like is it straight?

edit: i just went and looked, and how the hell do i remove that thing?

umm, bump? i also have a piece that im guessing is sposta fill the spot in the back of the console, but i cant figure out how that clips in either

edit: nvm the rear panel, i got that. but i still dont know how to remove the mounting bracket HELP!!!

yup thats what i did, and im very happy with it.

I was thinking about doing this, I thought the armrestless console was off of a jdm Civic until I saw the one I got my cupholder from at a junkyard.
