changing downpipe = changing tuning map?

will changing a d/p on a turbo setup, from 2.5" to 3" be cause for retune? I'm thinking yes, but need to be sure.. I currently have a 2.5" d/p, and am getting on the dyno for a tune on friday.. I am trying to get my 3" d/p done before then, but in the event that i dont, is it going to null out the tune?

well it might cause it makes the max boost come in faster, so the fuel map might need to be tweeked a little to compensate for more air at lower rpm.

actually, i talked to john @ j-k-tuning earlier, and he verified that would, indeed, require changes to the tune..
