charging a cap

i was just wondering if there way anyway u can charge a cap with that piece they give u to do it??? any info would be great

yeah i done it several times

hook up the negative to a ground
place bulb in bettween the posts
hook up the power wire (+) to the (+) on the cap,
let charge until the bulb goes (normally it only takes no more than 2 mins)


thats how ive always done it

power resistor is way better to use, careful with charged caps they pack a punch

PR is better to use...........? :what:

Just put the cap in the line and it will charge just fine.. Just dont put a signal to it for a couple minutes.....

just stick it inline and itll charge by its RC time constant
