Running to Rich or to Lean

The CEL comes on and off periodically throughout the week. So far i changed the spark plugs on it and no good. The light sometimes likes to turn on right after i fill up with gas. Could it possibly be that i have a bad oxygen sensor?
btw I have 99 Honda Civic Ex D16y8

Reset the ECU and, after the CEL turns on again, take the car to an auto parts store to have the code pulled with an OBDII scan tool. This way, you'll know whether the code is for rich or lean.

Any performance problems?

The performance is just fine. I'll grab my friends OBDII scanner and see what pulls up. Anything else i can check until I get the scanner?

Does your gas mileage suck?

I'm having a similar problem. I didnt want to start a new thread so i thought i'd just post on here.
My CEL comes on after the car warms up usually. It smells like its running rich. I'm on an OBDI ECU so i guess i need to do the thing with the 2 prong connector and get the code? I figure we're having the smae problem cause my performance doesn't seem to be effected. Gas mileage sucks and it smells rich.
O2 sensor probably??
