check engine light coming on

i recently got a remote start put in my car and every since then my check engine light comes on for a long period of time then it will go off for about a day or 2 and then ill be driving and all of a sudden it comes on anyone have any idea what may cause it to do it?

mabey its not from your remote start could be somthing with the car cuz i know my engine light dont come on tell the car is warmed up check it take a paper clip and check the code

but it never came on til i got the remote start NEVER what do you mean take a paper clip and check the code?
