Check mileage without cluster?

Is there a way to check the mileage on the engine without the cluster?

Therefore, are you able to find out the correct mileage on the car if someone changes their cluster. I am trying to sell my car and want to find out what the correct mileage is.

Excellent machinists and engine builders could possibly best guess at what the mileage is by tearing down and looking at the wear of the internal parts, but otherwise you are s.o.l.

The best I could tell you to do is check your current mileage along with the mileage listed previously in the records of the vehicle. You might be able to get a general idea.
