chip? what chip...most "chips" dont do a damn thing. If you want to do something in regards to a "chip", get an OBD (on-board diagnostics) I, conversion. OBD I is easier to tune, but against the law. As far as a "chip" goes, I think you can send back your stock ecu to JET, and they do nothing to it, you pay them, and they send it back to you.

I think mugen makes a chip, but I don't think it does anything....If anyone knows of a chip that does something let me know.

obd2 are harder and more expensive to chip. get a obd1 ecu p28, but you also have to get a obd2b to obd1 ecu wiring harness. its better to get a custom chip that suits your parts that you have on your car, so the ecu can help the engine perform better. most of the chips out are copy chips, the real chips cost a lot. having a chip ecu in your case will help since you have cams, a cam gear would help also.

you can actually just take your ecu to any shop that chips ecus. They can change a lot of thing like your a/f ratio and also redline. I wouldnt send your ecu off to jet or anything but I would recommend for you to get your ecu chipped since you have a cam. Id also recommend an obd1 p28 if you dont want to chip yours. Also, u have a cam but no cam gear? You should invest in one so you can get the most out of your cam. Dyno tune that biotch!
