chipped ecus question!!

I know this may be a noob question but im kind of confused when i get an chipped ecu from phearable .net i choose what program i want it to be chipped with right? ok then i go to a tuner and they tune it on that program?? im turboing my 00 si and i need to know this asap and i know that i have to also get the obd2b to obd1conversion harness but someone please help me out quik thanks

the chip that comes from phearable will have a basic basemap that you can drive around on, but before you do any major pulls you will need to get it dyno tuned.

youll need to go to obd1 yes... id find out whatever your tuner uses and go with that.. some tuners wont mess with uber or crome, some will

Xenocron asks for your setup and builds a basemap off of that, I am almost positive that phearable does the same

youll want to check with the tuner to see if they tune the program that you want to put on your ecu.

if they specify between uberdata and crome is most likely because of the datalogging process.

if your using crome and plan on datalogging you have to clip j12 to remove the full duplex mode. where as uberdata will run either 1/2 or 1 duplex.

other than that, they chip socket, chip used, and process is all the same.
