chipping a ecu?

so, i'm about to buy this p30 and I'm definetly gonna chip it. Can I just buy a spoon or mugen chip off a website and chip the ecu myself or will I have to send it somewhere?

i would send it somehwere if you dont know how to solder a ECU, DO NOT, DO NOT buy ebay spoon, mugen or any chip that says its a performance chip.

i know a guy who does it for $30 you ship it to him, pay for the parts and the $30 and he ships it back sockted and chipped

Those Spoon and Mugen chips aren't real (Spoon and Mugen don't sell chips, only ECUs). They are just some crappy generic map that always runs too rich.
