cigarette lighter not working

First off: Not using the cigarette lighter for smoking (so no anti tobacco responses please ). Also this is on my friends 94 sentra, but the concepts the same I would assume.


So the cigarette lighter cant power anything at all. I'm thinking it might be a blown fuse from trying to power a big inverter or something, but I really dont know much about wiring and such. Do you think thats probably the case or do you think maybe the harness is messed up or what?

What amp fuse is it? Or does it vary by car? Im going over there tomorrow and I'd like to be prepared

It should actually be the same fuse for the stereo....but it may differ for that car

If it's not the fuse, check to see if it's even connected. Mine was disconnected for some reason.

um...fuse panel..check..itll tell u where all ur things r..i think the dome lites hooked up to that 2 so if that dont work its probly the fuse
