Civic knob missing lights in dash switch

Hi all

Inside my car looks pretty dark in evenings, it has been like since i got it.

Anyone who can tell me where the bulbs might be hidden? or is there any bulbs at all? I have checked all the fuses, but couldn`t find one broken.

HONDA CIVIC 5-DORS 1,5vtec, MB3, 1998

note: Button with red and green arrows has been pulled out, and have replaced a broken bulbs. Now i have light in green arrow, and not red, even thoug i have replaced that bulb too. I have a multimeter, and can see there are no voltage at all to bulb, marked with red

I'm sure you already checked, but you did check the lighting knob is rotated to the full bright position correct? And that it's actually connected behind the panel?

For the hazard button and defrogger button i have ensured that the small bulbs are in , but there are no power to them.

Alaska : I do not have a dimmer for the lights in my car, this is a europe model , i am in europe

Huh... You don't say. I wasn't aware Europe had a no dim policy. Interesting...

Well then.. No voltage means something is disconnected or blown out. Have you traced a wiring diagram to use your multimeter at each spot? What about relays?

i hoped it was a fuser but it wasnt. No i havent checked the relays.

I have found a pdf for civic models, but not a correct one for my car, so its hard to check the wiring or tracing the wiring. So no i havent.

Definitely find one for your exact model/trim. What about the connections for those in question? Everything look good? Spray some contact cleaner over the pins/connectors and see if that helps.

I have unplugged the connector and measured the voltage, but nothing there.

Everything looks good, but there is just no light anywhere

I think i may have shorted something sometimes ago, which is why there are no lights, i have recently replaced the bulb behind the watch, defrogger.

I would like to disassembly the dash board arround the middel console, but i cant see any screw
