Civic si tail lights. no reverse lights?

Hey guys, to start out i have a 97 ex coupe and i hated the amber in the tail lights so i ordered some eagle eyes red/clear oem style si tail lights. now the problem i am having with them is that the reverse lights wont light up when the car is in reverse. Now im pretty sure everything is wired up right and in the right places. Am i missng something obvious? thanks. any help is appreciated

check the voltage in the socket, put the car in reverse and use a multimeter, it will help you find the issue. Or just get OEM and save the hassle
