So I'm borrowing my buddies 96 civic hatch with the gsr engine in it, my other buddy has an RSX type S. Now I'm not stupid enough to street race my buddies car without asking, but I'm curious as to which is faster. Anyone race this combo yet?

yea, thats what an rsx-s should run.. but its also what a gsr hatch would run. and depending on the mods of both, i would prolly say the hatch as well. but it wouldnt a slaughter, i think it would be kinda close.

Forgot to mention, the hatch has intake and catback exhaust, the type s has a CAI.

the CAI on a type S also gains something like 20 horses (not being sarcastic)

I'm gonna put my money on the rsx

try it and let us know. there are not many options to upgrade on the type s right now, but what is out there does make it gain a good amount of hp and torque, so it's all on you guys

Hands down the hatch(considering both drivers are equally matched in skill)

I'm gonna try to get them to "figure it out" but the hatch is currently sittin on winter tires, so its gonna have to wait.
I'm thinking that the type s will take it at this point all else being equal.

well, i spose that the rsx could win given that the difference in mods isnt that big. but, the hatch is a bit lighter than the rsx. i dunno weights of rsx's but just going off the difference of civic coupes to hatches i would say the hatch has a good weight advantage. still, like the other guys have said, it depends on alot.

i got a b18c1 in a civic and I raced a rsx-s. I got him off the line bad be he gave me a run for muh money. I pulled a 14.5 at the track in phoenix and he ran a 14.9. So we were pretty muched matched...
