CKP Sensor (CEL comes back)

I recently replaced my CKP sensor (P0335) and it drove fine for a couple of days, then the CEL came back on. It still reads P0335. I've erased the code a few times, and it's still the same one. When i unplug the battery for a while, and plug it back in, it will run find again for a few days, then the CEL returns.

Any suggestions??

maybe i need to do the CKP System Variation Learn Procedure? is that dealer only that does that? would it still spit out the same code?

it's been almost 1 year since i started the post. i drove with my CEL on the whole time and i had the same problems. I finally bought a Certified Honda CKP Sensor and put it in this weekend.


I drove for half a day before my CEL light came on. THE SAME DAMN CODE AS BEFORE! this makes no sense. I've had a mechanic tell me that that's exactly what I need to replace after I had already replaced it the first time. But it keeps coming back.

At least i got to get in there and replace my belts too.

I had the exact same problem before. I eventually blew my motor (unrelated) and when we pulled it the wiring to the sensor had been chewed up by a belt. I never saw it when it was in the car but out of the car it was blatantly obvious so you might want to look at the wiring and follow it through the bay.
