well i've been running around in my gs-r with no alarm since august. nobody has tried anything on me... i live in a gated community and it's garage kept but i still want one when i go out... this kid is selling his clifford alarm for 200 dollars. he got it with his car he has everything that goes with the kit the only problem is that he doesnt know the activation code... i really want to buy it, but how would i get the code to make it work? any advice?!

Dude, don't buy a retarded used alarm. You can get a Clifford Matrix 2.5 at Best Buy for 400 bucks brand new. And that does have two way paging remotes and all that.
The really pricey Cliffords are their absolute, top of the line units, with GPS and s**t that most people don't need (unless you have an Aston Martin or something rare and exotic)...

The viper 791xv is pretty nice.. you can probably get it for $250 new
I have one that I am selling also and I never had any problems. Take the alarm to get it installed and they can reprogram the code. The sequence of the code can be changed . I changed mines when I had to install the intellistart on it. Its no biggy just take it to an expert of clifford alarms . Make sure they know about it. Sound Advice is the best place I know of that really know about Clifford. They installed mines and never gone back for any problems.

Don't buy used alarm. You don't know if its been tampered with, or the codes recorded, plus most new alarms come with guarentee/warranty and cashback if stolen etc...
If you can actually confirm with whoever is selling it, and make sure that it 100% works, I dont see why you wouldnt want to buy it. Especially when the price is way cheaper. Im never going to pay over $200 for an alarm, even if it was able to do me sexual favors. Just make sure you take it to a reputable installer. Dont look for an installer, ask around for one. TRY to find one that someone already had experiences with. If all else fails, email me, and I'll guide you through the install
