I brought my civic vti on sunday and it has a clifford 300 alarm (Basic I know) and it has window roll-up installed. Does any one else have this installed on a 92 civic cuz mine just doesn't close the windows... at most the windows move 1cm and stop!! :(

Any body got any ideas why they don't close??

i've heard that the module stop rolling up the window when their something in the way for it not to burn out the motor, maybe your tracks needs to e re oil or what they use is silicon spray hope that helps

The thing that puzzeled me though is that i thought you could only put this module in a car that has a sensor on its windows. if you try doing your window up when it is closed you can still hear the motor working... wouldn't that mean that the civic has no window sensors?

I will try the rails but the windows work better than my 97 civ ever did!

Any one else got a suggestion?

What module is it? Is it the 529T? 530T?

Don't know.. how can i find out? all I know is that it isn't SmartWindows its Window Roll-Up.

It must have worked in the past because why would the alarm company fit it?

Can you see the control box/module itself? It should say right on it... But since you do know its Window Roll-Up let me look up some stuff for you and see what I can come up with.

Is the alarm set to arm passively? If so, thats whats makin it stop. Program the alarm not to arm passively

I have looked in the manual. It says that the rollup feature can be disarmed by turning the ignition on and off quickly. Then it says that the next time you start the car it should operate as normal.

I am going to try resetting it back to the factory settings and see if it works.

There is nothing about setting the alarm passivily in the manual.

529t and 530t are made by DEI. Clifford made their own units, i think its called smartwindows or something. find the module and check the sensitivity switches..

Clifford.com has the guide for the Smart Windows. Check it out, it says having the alarm passively armed will disable the SmartWindows.

the dei 529t, dei 530t, and clifford smartwindow are all different models. the dei 519t only rolls down. the de 530t rolls up and down. the clifford smartwindow are slightly better. they are fast speeds and pressure sensitive. have you seen the module of the dei and clifford. they look different from in the inside and outside. i have the dei 530t and it has 4 switch setting. the smartwindow is slightly different..i forgot how it looks like, i seen it only twice from my friends bmw.

Right well, tried resetting and no difference. just a bit ove movemont! :(

I definitly have the 529t unit. They only roll up, but thats all I want it to do.

I will try putting sillicon spray on the tracks tonight but the windows seem to move rather freely anyway. Did someone say something about sensitivity switches? Can you tell me more?

Thanks

i have the 530t, not sure if its the same. but check if there is 4 small switches on the side of the module. the 4 switches is for resistance. one said should be mark ON. when its on the ON position, it on low resistance. try to set it all on the ON position.

did the 529t worked before?..the module also might have gone bad.. or the the ground wire came loose. if it never did work correctly, it might be a wiring problem.

I found the module, tried all switch combinations and nothing works, earth looks fine and wiring all ok. It just jumps the windows when the indicators signal with the alarm... I have noticed that there is an LED flashing 2 different kinds of flashes though?? Could this be a trouble code??

Maybe you have to hold the option button or hold the lock button on the remote??? Just a thought. I wouldn't bother greasing upi your windows if they work with the switch on the door.

After all this I found out last night that pressing the headlight activation key on the remote closes the windows!

Anyone know how I can change it to close when I activate the alarm??
