clock from 4dr civic

I got a clock from a 4dr civic at a junk yard. I have a 4 door civic too. So I thought it was plug and play. Well everytime I turn the car on it resets to 1:00 . Is there anyway to fix it?

that dont sound right. gotta be a wiring problem.

the clock needs a constant 12 volts going into it, sounds like you only have a switched 12v so it only gets power when the key is on. thats why it won't keep time

alrite thanks steve98ex. I know how to fix that. i'll just wire it from my radio.
