Alright bought a clock from a member here and here is the deal.

Problems:
-Clock shuts off when i turn on my headlights.
-Clock won't let me change time, I hold down hour button it'll only go to 2:00 then resets back to 1:00.
-All it is dim, only time not dim is when I click the black button all the way on the right.

Could it be fuses, bad clock or what?
Any help is appreciated.

Tell us how you have it wired and how you have tested the wires. Post some pics if necessary.

The stock clock has one black ground wire, and three different power wires:
-Ignition switch/dash fuse 15 (yellow wire)
-Constant power for time memory/hood fuse 32 (Wht/Blu wire)
-Back lighting power from dimmer switch (Red/Blk wire)

Well its just the plug and play wires already there I did no work on them.
Alright luckily my dad used to be an electrician so we will check the fuses with his meter hopefully a fuse is just messed up because re doing the wiring would be a b***h for me considering I know nothing about it.

Test all fuses and wires for voltage. Click here to learn how to test fuses. You can buy a decent digital multimeter for $15-$20.

Bought an amber jdm one off ebay years ago. Plugged mine in and it did that same thing. emailed the seller back and sent it back. Resent a different one that worked how it was suppose to, so apparentally there was something defective.
