i have a 93 civic dx and it doesnt have a tach and i was wondering- if i got a dial set out of the next model up and fitted it would there already but a wire for the tach just blanked off to connect or would i have to connect a new one?

Yes, just get one from an si or vx, I believe. Everything's allready ran thru from the factory, just have to change the cluster, that's all. Hope this helps.

SI/EX is prefered due to the VX having a lower redline if that matters at all to you. Yes as 1bad-eg said it is plug and play. Take your gauge bezel off and take out the screws from your cluster unplug and plug the new one in reassemble your done.
