Cluster Rebuild

I have 3 gauge clusters. None of which form a complete single color MT cluster with tach.

1 Stock DX
1 Stock CRV
1 Stock 5-Sp /w Tach.

I want to put together a single color set without AT lights.

The problem is the 5-Sp /w tach has a broken temp needle.

Would it be possible to take the CRV Fuel/Temp needles and move them? Is it possible to take off the surrounding backing on the fuel/temp sections and swap them? Would I be better off just going and getting some Glow Gauges? (I kinda despise all except for the most expensive ones... go figure)

Also I have a single fuel gauge and single temp gauge. If anyone knows of a small digital temp, that I can just cut out the black section of the fuel one and put that in. I imagine it would be a pain in the butt to implement something of the sort though..

My last idea would be, how practical would it be to just get a scan gauge? I would love to see MPG + CEL + other things, so that is not out of the question. I do a significant amount of traveling so I could see justifying the cost of that over spending 40ish on the single part of the cluster. If anyone has any suggestions on what to do next, I'm glad to hear out anyones suggestions.

actually you can order just the fuel/temp gauge for your cluster from honda. i ordered a manual CRV fuel/temp gauge to convert a cluster from automatic. pulling the needles off the pins will screw up the calibration (the pins will wind back up)

:thumbs up

probably even find them in a salvage yard, although brand new ones from Honda aren't too bad, i had to get a new temp fuel for my Si and it was around 45 bucks, but now i have some of the blue electroluminescent eurolite gauges, and yeah, don't take the needle off, that's why i had to replace mine because it broke the shaft in the gauge..

yes you can take the cluster apart and take out the screws holding in the gauge there are no wires the only difference is the color of the crv is red and the civic is blue
