:x I just search through the archives and no help. Yesterday I got my fog lights for my EJ2 coupe and it took me like 2 hours to get it hook up but first i had to remove the old wiring that was install by the previous owner. Anyways i got everything hook up correctly I think, then when it got dark i tested the fog light out while i was driving and i heard this grindin high pitch noise comin from my clutch. It would do that everytime I step on the clutch to shift. At first I thought my clutch was acting up NOPE. It happen when i turn the lights on. I think there is a hot wire somewhere and i didnt properly attached it. Everything seems to be alright, I will take some time tomorrow to go back to scratch and rewire things. Anyone had this problem before?? Any help would be appreciated. :D

isnt the clutch mechanically connected therefore your wiring job could not have cause it to grind?

Clutch was fine before the install, it happen afterwards and its difinitely my wiring. In order for me to shift without the grinding i have to barely press all the way down. Its some eletrical thing.

Stop paying attention to how pretty your fogs are and start paying attention to your shifting, lol.

high pitch grind? and u say u can push start ur car with the lights on without turning the ignition? the sound would probably be the start hitting the flywheel and the problem seems to be the wiring. the lights is somehow wired to the starter. did someone do the light trick on your car? its when u cant start the car unless the headlights are on..

where did you get power from? it almost sounds like you tapped into the starter lead.

no i didnt take ou ty tranny to wire the fog, why should i? i just follow the old fog light wiring and just went that way. im not sure if i got loose wire somewhere, there is this groundin wire that is attached before the switch relay. i might have to ground it completely with electrical tape, i might also be tappin into something.
i got to get this fix cause im havin my alarm install tomorrow.
