Clutch problems.

Hey guys before I make this I want to say I'm still pretty new to the car scene. Anyways I have a 2000 Honda ex coupe. I replaced my clutch about a month or so ago. When leaving work this afternoon my clutch had to pressure. It was pretty much pushed in all the way. I got it to start. Brought it home. But on the way the clutch wouldn't go in to switch gears. It seemed super dry and while putting it in gear I had to push it hella hard to get it into 1st, 2nd and so on. I called up my local shop and told him what was going on. He said it might be the slave cylinder. Also. My rpms were pretty much at 0.5 while I was at idle. When at a stop getting ready to accelerate (1st) the car would rumble. I need help with this. Check for leaks. If your clutch fluid is leaking eventually it will get too low and cause the issues you're experiencing. The leak could be the slave cylinder, master cylinder, or anything in between. Slave cylinder is cheap and easy to replace. Master cylinder is a little more time consuming (and a little more $) but also not too bad to replace.

You may even just have a lot of air in the lines, and it just needs to be bled. If you replace either slave or master cylinder you'll need to do so anyways.

I recently got my exedy slave cylinder for about $20 but i price hunted. Average is about $25-$40 if I recall correctly. I want to say the master clutch cylinder may cost between $60-$120 depending on the brand. I personally wouldnt go with a cheap brand. But dont buy parts before checking for leaks then bleeding the system again. If youve experienced any reasonable tempurature changes since you replaced the clutch, the moisture in the system couldve accumulated and created air in there. The master could also leK into the footrest area and would be pretty obvious upon inspection.

Just got a call from the shop. Its was the master cylinder. I'm getting my baby back today

I just looked up the master clutch cylinder on ebay. Nissin oem brand is $48.40 shipped.
