:???:

So I threw in a new clutch and flywheel in my 6th gen EX about 2 months ago. Engine light came on, never really took care of it because I've been working out of town.

I've noticed some oil remnants around the driver side inboard drive shaft connection, but never thought much of it until today when I did an oil change. The MTF fluid i put in is slowly leaking through the shaft connection, there is a considerable gap which tells me it didnt set properly when i put in on.

I need to know what I should i do now?

1) Attempt to knock the shaft in so the set ring clicks? (btw i didnt replace either sides set ring they looked alright)

2) Take the spindle nut off on that side and go through the whole removal again then put it back in?

And are all 6th gen shafts the same if I wanted to replace them?

Any help would be great:cry:

1) you didn't set the snap ring all the way. you don't need to take the nut off to set this in. just undo the lower ball joint and the suspension fork so you can move the axle around. then put your hand on the axle and try to slam it in. this may take a few tries but you should hear/feel it click.

2) your output shaft seal(s) are shot. get some new ones and replace them.
