CODE Alarm

Hey I just bought a 93 civic 4 door and it came with a CODE alarm, with remote start and other options?... it has a lcd remote. I never before encountered a car with this system so I don't really know much. Is it a good system. any imput might be helpful. Thank you

they're not bad, not extremely user friendly and they're a b***h to install, but still..... not bad alarms

will it protect me car from theft or is just for looks?

i dont know of any alarm that is "just for looks"

take to to a shop and see exactly what functions it has and which of them has been hooked up.
you should have ignition kill, but not all shops will hook that up unless you ask them

That sounds like a good idea, i called the code alarm and they have an authorized dealer down the street from my house. thanks $lick Rick.
