As some of you guys know, I hydrolocked a couples of months ago so I bought a AEM bypass valve. I installed it on my intake, but I wasn't very pleased with the results. AEM says that you loose some power with it, and it isn't as loud. I decided to go with ultimate security and just have it as a short ram, so I took off the lower part and stuck the filter on the pipe like this!

AEM CAI w/ bypass

AEM custom short ram

Its hella loud now as a short ram...and I can feel a little bit more low end!

you feel more low end in your short ram?? cold air is "made" for the low end...the short ram is for mid-high end.

its good to hear that you are going to go back to CAI during the summer because SRI are worthless.....you sucking in soo much hot air..you might as well have your stock box put back on

Thats why you make ghetto ram air like i did! I used like 3'' Flexible irrigation/drain piping that i bought from home depot for $4.10 My SRI NEVER gets heat soak...only cold air. I fed it from the front bumper grill all the through the bumper, and then rite under my intake...very effective.

Yea you would think so, but I can feel it, I also don't get really hot temperatures up in Winnipeg... Once a while in the summer when it gets 35 Celcius plus it kind of craps out but oh well.
