Color lights help

Ok I'm looking for a guide for the lights on my 97 ex...... I'm want to change the colors on all that I can really so I'm I'm tn is it illegal to change the color of blinker etc I wanna do the brightest hi/low head light that I can without putting in hids. Can I even get that look I'm looking for like the Infiniti super blues or whites also make blinkers green, tags green does me one have the numbers of the lights I need or where I can picks these up I've checked autozone but they don't have good chooses thanks for the help

green lights anywhere are illegal on the outside..the infinity's lights are like that because they paired with projectors and the kelvin amount plays a role too

Front facing blinker must be amber. You can use switch back leds. These less are white and only blink amber with your hazards and blinkers.

To change the colors of your headlights your gonna need hids. If your gonna go hid I suggest Retro fitting projectors and doing it right. I suggest using 4000k to 6000k for tempature. Those provide the best light output. Anything you start to loose visability.

You can get a headlight assembly with city light sockets and you can add a color led. It won't change the color of your headlights when there own as the light output is stronger then the led but with the headlights off your headlight will look the color you want. Any off color is illigial tho

I'm pretty sure green is illegal like 2slo said and again, your light output will be horrendous. 4300 offers the highest amount of light output. Anything higher and you start to lose output (ie deep blue, green, purple, pink, etc.).

If you get HID's, do a retrofit. It won't blind the crap out of oncoming traffic unlike HID's without a retrofit. HID bulbs are not meant to be used with halogen reflectors. Don't buy eBay projector headlights. The projectors themselves are horrible.

I spent a little over $300 for my entire retrofit setup and couldn't be happier (projectors, bulbs, ballasts, relay harness). 5k bulbs makes my HID's look blue-ish coming down the road (above cut off), under my cut off it looks blue-ish/white, and my cut off color flicker has some purple/deep blue in it.

Yes it is.

From the doors forward the only legal colors are white and amber/yellow.

From the doors rearward only legal colors are white, amber/yellow, and red.

Blue is the most illegal as that is what is on police vehicles.

lol i had my blue lights up for a solid year running on side cops behind cops cops in front everyway i can encouter them and they didnt say sh*t...until one d**k for an a*****e decides he wants his money for the month and pulls me over then the slut tried to tell me my exhaust was illegal cuz its too loud and my blue led back plate (which i know the back plate) but the kicker is the dumb duck didnt even see or hear my exhaust or see the back plate on my car until after he got right up behind me and remeber i past the d**k up as he was sitting on side the road...cant be that much of a problem if u didnt even hearit or see my backplate lol smh cops...But by no means am i saying its a gud idea im jus kind of like f**k it

Green is illegal? Is that new? I used to use green underglow all the time. Cops never had a problem. I even spoke to one once and he said green wasn't illegal. This was several years back, though.

ok to be blunt on whats illegal BLUE(reserved for police) period point blank illegal red(fire trucks n such) and green(and if im correct green is with paramedics or sum s***) is technically illegal if its in the front center area of ur car or flashing like window area by ur lights etc anything other than that technically is fair game but is also up to the cop who can give u a ticket for it if he feels like it. it will be some retartded ticket thats really broad lol but if u wanna know look up ur states statute about it......gooooooooooggggllleeee it and then ull know for sure.....hince how i found this out for my state but each is different u may have more or less but the blue red green thing shud be relatively universal

Also important to note that some states outlaw also HID headlights if your car didn't originally come equiped with them.

I'm a certified Texas state inspector. The only lawful light coloring is clear/white and amber in the front, and red and amber in the rear, and clear/white for license plate bulbs.. that's for every state.... reverse lights are not an item of inspection in Texas.
