Complete turbo kit or custom built

Hey, I'm looking into getting a turbo and I'm trying to figure out what's better, buy a turbo kit from a company, or custom build your own piece by piece. Let me know what you think. Is one from a company that much more reliable, and how much is there a difference in price?

how much experience do you have in this area? if you dont have the skills, resources, tools, etc to build your own kit, you are WAY better off just buying a kit.

well my friends are mechanics, and they sed they were gunna help me out.. my one friend is almost done building his own turbo which i've been helping him with, and 2 of my friends already built their own on their cars.. i'm just wondering what you guys think. And what you think is the best thing to do.

build your own, that way its a turbo kit built to your specs by you... you cant beat that

ya, not to metion you can make a more reliable kit for less than a manufactured kit
