i got the same problem, been rollin' round about 2 months with a cracked windshield, i gettin' mine done through insurance. Cost £45, about $70-80, dont know how insurance in the states works but maybe you should check your policy and see if you can get it sorted that way

insurance should always cover your windshield no matter what coverage you have(assuming you have coverage)
