OK here's my crazy f**ked up idea... like it or leave it, I don't give a s**t, but if you like it give me your opinion on if it's possible.
So I'm gonna get $30k for my cadet loan, possibly more by the time I get it. My proposal is definitely weird, and goes something along the lines of this : take my 98, do a 99-00 front end conversion, and swap some 5th gen headlights into it.
What this entails to my knowledge would be to get the 99-00 fenders, hood and bumper, and, if the headlight mount is the same, then all that would be need to be done would be modling some fiberglass onto the hood/fenders/bumper to line up with the 5th gen lights. If the frame is different, drill holes in the headlight mount to match the 5th gen brackets. This would cost a shitload of money, that's where the $30k comes into play. The only thing is, that I don't know if the 5th gen lights would match up with the mounts. That would be the only real problem. If they totally do not, then this idea is f**ked.
Or I could take my $30k, divvy it up, put some into mutual funds and sell Mr. Clean, and buy an '05 (they'll be cheaper by then) Mustang GT coupe.
Or, I could keep the Civic, spend about $3k on a motor swap and some other s**t, and put the rest into mutual funds.
Flame me all you want, it's still not as stupid as the Diamond engine.
