I wanted to know if there is a way to make an aux line out of a stock AM/FM deck on a 96 HB. I figured there'd be some kind of way to solder in an AUX in the back or what not.

buyin ga new deck is my last resort right now.

nah man.. thats some serious engineering

anything can be done but this most certainly wont be worth it

It IS POSSIBLE to use the stock speakers for somthing else but to be able to control it through the head unit would be extemelly hard

most civics didnt come with a cd player but some did.. if they use the same headunit for both non cd and cd then it is possible but still hard

ebay a headunit.. I got one for 43 bucks

i don't think that the stock deck would be able to power very much anyways, would just be a better option to get a new deck

anything that has a 1/8" input jack would work... theres tons of headunits like that starting around 100 bucks or so...

2 Channel or 4 Channel (depending on your setup you want) Line Output Converter... I sell em at Circuit City for when someone wants an amp in a factory system. You solder the positve and negative wires into the correct speaker wires then hook up your RCAs to your Amp

Oh snap, you want an input... theres a thing called the Harmon/Kardon Drive n Play. It works for I pod, Mini Stereo jack and RCA. Its easy to install if you know what you're doing and works quite well

Your deck does have an auxilary input It's there for the CD changer/CD slave/cassette slave.

What are you trying to input?

there is probably an adapter that you can buy that will do it. I'm 100% sure though..prolly a dealer item and pricey. I know i can get one for my kenwood deck (to add a second input), but that adapter is like 50 bones

Honda doesn't make one. I know that '99 and up Civics they make the iPod cables for stock Honda decks.

Yeah, there is, but I don't think DXs had the option of the CD changer. You might have to get an EX deck or something. And even then I'm nor sure where you'd get the proper wiring to have it do what you want it to do.
