Cruise not working

Hi CC,

My cruise does not work or has not since I bought it a few months ago so I took out the switch because the light did not turn on on the button when pushed, the bulb is burned out. Does a burned out bulb in the switch cause it to not work? What would be the next thing to check and trouble shoot?
I tried switching the bulbs around (there are 2 in the switch) but it still did not work. The "cruise control" light on the intstrument cluster does not turn on. Any thoughts or ideas?

The bulb won't have anything to do with it. Check the fuse, I know that happened to me once before.

I checked the fuse, the light on the switch does not come on with it out but does with it inane the fuse looks fine.??

So I checked the fuse in the dash, 14 and 25 I think it was and they are fine. I also looked under the hood and all of the connections are in place and nothing is unplugged that I could visually see. I also checked the brake pedal, I'm assuming the stopper I have read about is the one that turns the brake lights on/off as well. That is there and worked as well.
What would be the next thing to check?
