CRV 2.0 upgrade

New to site, want to go in different direction with my Si. Two fold move, first move to go to 2.0 motor with stock Si head installed with 10 compression ratio on a refreshed CRV 2.0 short block. No questions on that upgrade.

Concern is with better mileage as power with be enough, This is not going to be a drag/street toy. Its my daily ride and has been the best car and/or best Civic I have owned. I've had a few !

Second move is to go away from Si tranny (hydro ) to a higher final gear ratio.1999 Si has 4,40 final drive would rather go to 4.10
Will a stock Integra tranny work in Civic SI ( bolt in) also has to be a hydro..

Thanks for anyone's info, Gas prices only going up (lately) and mileage is my goal, car is a fun car to drive and better than most new cars. Car turns little over 4-G at 80 mph and I drive 15K plus a year.

Ive had my 99 si for over 6 years. And i have seen consistent mpg's of 34-36. Granted thats pretty much driving like a granny to save on gas. But still comparable to most (not all) of the slower single cam civics out there.

But if your on the interstate a lot, then ya it gets rather thirsty. Lol.

What mpg are u shooting for?
