Ctr sidemarkers

alrite...i have a civic si and i am planning to buy ctr sidemarkers for my car...now the question is....when i cut a hole in my fender and install the sidemarkers..can water leak behind the lights and rust the fender from inside out? thanks

you can either buy pre-cut fenders that have the perfect slot already, or you can cut them. rust can be a result, but as long as you coat the bear metal with some kind of paint or even bondo (remember it will be under the light) it shouldnt rust. as for water leakage, i think that the ctr sidemarker kit includes a grommet, even though it probably wouldnt be hard to make one of you own. oh yeah, if you haven't gotten them yet, check ebay for cheap ass prices.

i used touch up paint on the rim of the cut and on any other exposed metal

try to seal them with silicone

or you can even spray some primer on a q-tip and put it on the bare metal!
