cup holders???

Is there any center consoles with cup holders in 5th gen civics? Is there anyway you could put some in?

yeah....dont they all have em...right in front of the shifter..you push it down and they pop up

Yup, they are made of really flimsy plastic, and I know a lot of people break them.

Yeah, they all have em... the people that had the car before me broke em, so i just took it out... So i have an open space there now... Here is a pic, see infront of the shifter, how it kinda drops down... Right there is where the cup holder would be...

i was thinking it would be pimp to take out the cup holders like morphiasx did and mount a screen there, or even one of those combination dvd player/screens so i wouldnt need a new head unit or a dvd player in the glove box.....without a doubt though the stock cup holders are gay and not worth putting in as they only fit a limited number of cup sizes...if youre lacking them or looking to replace...come up with a better idea...

yea it would be pimp to have a screen there. but that would be an awkward place to have a screen rather than having a screen pop out of the cd/dvd player where the head unti is supposed to be. haha, and yea its a b***h when cans rattle when you use the cup holders, they are somewhat useless

not trying to be a post whore....but in terms of screenage: 1. you really dont want a screen in sight while youre driving (should pay attention to the road) 2. When its down low cops dont see it so they have one less thing to f**k with you about 3. Not a common place for a screen so a car stereo thief might not even see it (i speak from experience cuz when my car got broke into the thief completely neglected the digital camera on the FLOOR worth more than my head)

ive had an indash and was never messed with by cops.... ive also had a raw 7" Kenwood screen right there on the cup holders... i liked it there..

also these cup holders suck ass because all they hold is a can anyting bigger and it will fall out or worse not fit, but luckly i dont drink soda because it is bad for you so no foul in my car!!

4th gens aint got cupholders so i had one of those "type r" ones you put on the vent ... lasted for like a year till one of the clips holding it onto the vent broke ... and they dont sell the damn things on ebay anymore! Im still trying to find another one because while many people called it rice ... f**k them i dont wanna hold the f**kin cup between my legs and have it tip back onto my lap or fly out the window when i take a turn (both have happened before)

don't replace the cup holders- you should get the entertainment center console. I don't know if you can still get it through Honda but its the bee's knees!

hmm if im not mistaken, i do believe when you put an audio console in the cup holders are eliminated... not sure though...... and another thing whats bees knees? lol

yep, you can get the audio console...but boy is it expensive, just like if you want an armrest over your park brake.

audio console on ebay for around 120... they are also genuine Honda parts too

ya I'm pretty sure you lose the cup holders w/ E.T. console but they are rare and cool.
