Ok, I recently saw a guy selling a 99-00 Civic gauge cluster that he had turned into replica JDM EKs with amber lighting and red needles...is there any place out there either sell real EK gauges like that or a way to do that custom, every place ive found genuine clusters are either sold out or really expensive...anyone know either way?

i just did amber lights in my cluster, and he painted the needles red himself, its not that hard.

well is there a way to iliminate the two lights in the top of the cluster that shine down onto the guage faces? That way just the amber gauge lights show up.

yeah, so your best bet would be to replace the stock factory bulbs with amber ones.

Also, was wondering...if you installed the gauges from say an Si/SiR or a CTR...since they are from a car with a DOHC engine, would that cause any issues with the RPM gauge? A friend of mine has a 92 240SX, which i think had a stock single cam engine, and he swapped in an RB20DET Skyline engine, making it a dual cam, and his RPM gauge doesnt work...would it be the same thing?

And i have money, just not a ton lol, so im not really that tight, but i still just wouldnt really wanna pay nearly 400 bucks for a gauge cluster, bit overpriced IMO. Id be willing to pay anywhere from $125 to maybe around $200 or so, but not much over that.

I would think that all 6th generation civic gauges are plug and play...so i dont think ANY of the gauges would be affected by the swap.

The RPM signal/data is sent out thru the dizzy, isnt it? If so, it wouldnt have anything do to with the actual cluster....and as Genuine Rolla said. All 6th Gen Civic clusters are plug and play....

well about those #194 and #24 bulbs, should all the bulbs be amber or are they all gonna be clear or what?
