Custom Interiors- Ideas and Pics req ** 56K Warning**

Next weekend I am finally going to strip out my interior of my '95 eg and sound deaden everything. Since this is such a nasty job I was considering some other modifications while I have everything out.

I've googled and searched cc forums but havent seen much except painted dashes, etc
I have a few ideas bouncing around but wanted some input (and pictures of everyones favorite interiors, cough-cough)

when you say "custom interior" ther are a couple thoughts that come to mind..

1) painting, wraping, etc.. all IMO dont look all that great...

and

2) the expensive stuff.. racing seats... custom panels for monitors or gauges.. etc..

my interior is not the way it came from honda at all.. but i also didnt wrap anything in vinyl or spray paint anything EXCEPT the din panel for the gauges.. but that is getting changed to carbon fiber in the near future.. i already have the c/f plate... i think that when you customize the cars interior you need to be VERY carefull and stick to oem swap stuff (example: i USED to have gsr leather interior, but it didnt look that out of place because it was still factory leather) or different color oem stuff if you want to completely go from one color to another.. just be really carefull not to cross the line into tacky s**t..

take oc's advice,i think he has one of the cleanest,nicest interiors on here.i dont see a problem with rewraping the doors in vinyl but thats about it.

I like the way you took the EX interior parts out and put in DX stuff.

Vinyl wrap is just one of those things that...ummmm...what's a nice way to put it? Ok for every one vinyl wrap job I see that kicks ass, I will have seen 10 that suck teh goat balls.

Interior paint? The ratio is up to 50:1. That is to say 50 suck rhino ass, 1 rocks.

You can get one of those carbon fiber headliners....totally useless, but pretty.

What I'm doing now is having someone upholester my seats in black and blue fabric, which is costing me 120 bucks, but much better than going out and buying new seats, or spending 30 bucks on some shitty seat covers. Now I just need to find a cheap seat that I can use while the real seats are being upholestered.

I also found some vinyl paint, and as soon as I can take my dashboard out, Im going to turn my ugly grey interior black, with the exception of the ricer-painted (not by me) vents that kind of grew on me, plus I like the color.

well at least your painting it black. take your time on it too, one coat at a time. and what color are the vents? i hope their not bright red or yellow or blue... ... anyway, ya keep it simple but nice. i painted my whole s**t white way back in the day, then i decided i f**kin hated it and bought black gsr interior and now i love it. get some pics up of the process

The vents, and the plastic around the clusters, bright blue, but as I said, it kinda grew on me.

i put some imitation suede (so water doesn't ruin it) on the door panel and also installed a marker light that comes on when the door opens. the assembly came from the trunk actually. the tweeter is custom too
