I have a 99 Civic Sedan(LEV JDM) with a cvt transmission. (M4VA) (I think this is equivalent to the HX in the US). When the car is first started for the day, the gearbox doesnt engage unless left to idle for at least 10-15 mins (20 on a colder morning), or if i floor the accelerator, which gives a very very violent jerk. Other than that it works fine. Can anyone advise as to what is wrong and/or possible solutions? I've had so much conflicting opinions and probable diagnosis and solutions that i'm not sure who's advice to take. Anyone?
