Hello,

So what do I need to be safe on revving that high? I'm actually planning on getting some cams. Can someone please tell me what to do to my D15B? I'm clueless. before I had a turbo toyota 4efte and all I had was boost and fuelling and damn that thing would smoke some VQ35's :P Anyway, back to the D15b.

There was this D15B in my area, it would rev to 8.7k and the guy was actually blowing away B16's like cake.

way to high to use on the street man, also you need some serious work on that motor to rev that high especially a d15b. Also just because it revs high does not means it makes power up there.

I don't know, that's why i asked what do I need to make power up there while revving that high?

And what does a CAM GEAR do?

its all about valve timing to make power in those rpms. you need an aggressive cam to make use of 8k+ rpms. however, your motor was not meant for those speeds. your risking rods, bearings, valves etc. if one rod bolt gives way at those speeds kiss your engine goodbye. its either blowing through the block out your oil pan or straight through the head and through the hood, probably 50ft or so into the air . if you can find it laying on the ground later they make great paper weights

honda put your redline there for a reason :thumbs up

a cam gear lets you adjust your valve timing advanced or retarded
