D15b swap into a 96 Civic EX Manual Coupe

Hey everyone!

I am really new to honda modding. I have a 96 EX coupe with a y7 in it. I swapped the head once by myself but now the head is going bad. I think I just want to get a 3 stage d15b. I have a few questions though. In my particular civic exactly what will I need? Will i need an obd1 ecu? Will I need a new wiring harness or is there an adapter for mine? Will my axles and mounts now work? I would really appreciate your help guys. I need to know all that Ill need so I can figure cost and not go in over my head.

You won't need the conversion harness because your 96 Civic is OBD2a already.

In some states, the JDM P2J ECU won't pass inspection because it can't communicate with OBD2 scan tools/code readers. I'm not sure if this is an issue in NM.

The D15b ill be getting is JDM does that make a difference? So would this be pretty much plug and play? Thanks alot for your response I really appreciate it.
