I just did a JDM swap on my daughters car it is a 1992 civic, with a 1.5 liter engine. I got this motor from a guy in VA. It runs but the timing is off and wont set. I have to put the #1 plug wire on the #2 spot on the destributor and so on for it to start. It wont do anything if they are on right. Please help me, My daughter is driving me crazy to get this fixed. Thanks alot. Paul

PS The Engine is non VTech.

I don't belive its the timing, I think you have the wire wrong at the distributer. I drew this up for you, I hope you can tell the shity drawing. & when you time the ignition with the light, Time it on the line in middle of the Three lines on the crank pully.

P.S. not to bash on you or anything but its VTEC (Variable Valve Timing & Lift Electronically Control), Vtech is a phone lol. & there is no real diff. in a USDM & JDM D15B, It would be a waste of money to ship one from Japan so I think that guy you got it from was bullshittin you. Where in VA you get it from Cuz I live in VA too

lol, that book is bullshit. I notice it said the same thing when I droped my motor in. I had to use my knowledge of Honda's to figure it out. If you know the order the cylinders fire & the direction the Distrib. rotor turns its kind of easy to figure out. =)
