D15B vtec ecu

im working on an ej1 i got a year ago for 1500 with no problems, it came with performance headers, air intake and JDM D15B Vtec, but i noticed its running the p28 ecu and not the P08. but i also was looking at the Hondata because i wanna fix the stuff up and put a turbo in it but i dont know if i should get the tuned ecu for the P08 ( 4400 vtec and 8500 rev limit ) or keep the p28 and later get a hondata, i just dont wanna waste the money on the p08 ecu if i dont need to. thanks


also with the ecu i have now, my rev limit is like 6400, i dont even make it to the red

I'd say look at the price difference. Hondata chipped should allow you to change the Vtec point, etc, and you already have the P28 which allows vtec in the first place. Unless you can change fuel maps, etc on that tuned P08, I'd suggest the Hondata. Should be flexible enough to handle whatever you do in the future
