ok guys i just picked up my D15B VTEC enine runs and everything heared and all. so my question is how do i know if the guy just swapped the head on it or if its an actuall vtec block and all cause i have heared that mini me dont pass smog. so if that is what i picked up id rather be safe and put it back on market to sell but if it is truly a d15b vtec then ill be happy.

Here it is i know the vc needs work gonna figure out how to paint it or find someone to do it cause i want to do the rising sun with polished vtec
if the block stamp doesnt have a number (ex d15b7) and only has d15b then its a jdm 130hp d15b
nice so it is an actual vtec engine then kool ill relax now haha ya just says D15B my current engine is the D15B7
if nothing else, you can pop the head off and check the stamps on everything to make sure

Gonna do it myself my local shop wanted 300$ if they did it
Go with dc carb legal but check ur local laws
so far no complaints i have dc headers hooked up to stock exhaust setup and love it soon to add the aem short ram car feels way different to me from my stock b7 i had. all in all its great motor so far if you can get it at a great price do so
