Ok well has a vtec head. Has a del sol tranny. I'm thinking it's a y8 but I have no clue. Doesnt mean it's not authentic. That makes no sense

ive seen blocks with hand etched letters and numbers....if you think you know so much, then why ask here?

This isnt hand sketched and I know very very much about hondas. I have just never seen a d16 block with only d16 on it. After the d16 it has the void if removed thing after it

You may self-proclaim knowing "very very much" about Hondas but obviously not enough to answer your question, so show a little humility. You only asked a short question with just one picture. "R3dline" already provided a wiki link showing a D16A badge is from a '97-'99 Honda Domani. Consider taking a close-up picture of that badge and some more engine pics for further verification. Perhaps track down the previous owner(s) and contact them for specific engine build info.

lol i know very very much more than you hence iv had hondas since i was 15, and im now 31, i was helping, i posted a link of every d16 ever made, open your eyes, remove that janky rivited on round tag and look it up yourself since you know so much.
